Cloud Computing

Cloud Computing

EBI Resources have led some clients into embracing the next generation of enterprise computing, that is Cloud Computing. Cloud Computing is the use of computing resources (hardware and software) that are delivered as a service over a network (typically the Internet). With cloud computing, end users access cloud-based applications through a web browser or a light-weight desktop or mobile app while the business software, user's data and all the big heavy works are done on servers at a remote location.

We cater to all the different types of Cloud Computing services:

IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service)

With Infrastructure as a Service model, clients are provided complete virtual servers to their disposal. It is like having their own physical server, with remote access. A full control of the hardware and the software is made possible via hypervisors such as XEN or KVM. We have been providing this services to some of our major clients including PLUS and LKIM.

PaaS (Platform as a Service)

With Platform as a Service model, clients are provided with a computing platform which typically including operating system, programming language execution environment, database, and web server. Application developers can develop and run their software solutions on a cloud platform without the cost and complexity of buying and managing the underlying hardware and software layers.

SaaS (Software as a Service)

As for Software as a Service, clients or possibly end-users is provided access to application software and databases, while us at EBI Resources will manage the infrastructure and platforms that run the applications. SaaS is sometimes referred to as "on-demand software" and is usually priced on a pay-per-use basis. SaaS providers generally price applications using a subscription fee.
